dr hab. Janina Czapska, prof. UJ
Head of the Chair of Sociology of Law, Jagiellonian University. In both her publications and scientific research, she deals mainly with the problems of local security, police accountability, and alternative dispute resolution methods. Recently, she focuses on the issues of criminal policy, the implementation of community policing strategies in various European countries, and the importance of municipal police in shaping local security.


Dr Andrej Sotlar
Associate Professor of security sciences and Dean of the Faculty of Criminal Justice and Security, University of Maribor, Slovenia. His pedagogic and research interests include national security systems, security policy, private security and private detective activity, and plural policing. He has recently participated in research projects on safety in local communities; plural policing in Slovenia; international comparison of private security; and has led the researches on the development of private detective activity in Slovenia; on reshaping of municipal warden service in Ljubljana; and on appeal mechanisms over work of private security officers, municipal wardens and private detectives in Slovenia.


dr Arkadiusz Nyzio
Doctor of social sciences in the field of political science. Assistant professor at the Chair of National Security, Jagiellonian University. Editor-in-chief of the scientific journal Poliarchia published by the Faculty of International and Political Studies. Associate of the Andrzej Frycz Modrzewski Krakow University. His research interests include contemporary political history of the Central and Eastern Europe region, contemporary political history of Poland, and internal security issues. Recently, he published a monograph titled Rakowiecka under renovation. Transformation of Poland's internal security policy in 1989–1993.



mgr Łukasz Dziura
PhD student at the Chair of Sociology of Law, Jagiellonian University. Currently, he explores the issues of police science, especially in the context of citizens' right to privacy. Head of the project financed by the National Science Center The use of unmanned aerial vehicles in police work. He focuses in his  publications and research on the issues of unmanned aerial vehicles, police body-worn cameras, the right to privacy, the politics of verticality, modern technologies, and smart cities.


prof. Želimir Kešetović
Professor of crisis management at the Faculty of Security Sciences, University of Belgrade. He worked as an analyst at the Serbian Ministry of the Interior. He was a member of the think tank for the reform of the Ministry of the Interior after the democratic transformations in Serbia. Deputy editor-in-chief of the Ministry's magazine Bezbednost (Security). He has participated in many conferences in Serbia and abroad. Author of over 150 articles published in national and foreign journals, as well as seven books. His research interests include police public relations, comparative models of police training and education, crisis management and crisis prevention, and the fight against terrorist activities in the Western Balkans.


dr Miha Dvojmoč 
Assistant professor of security sciences at the Faculty of Security Sciences, University of Maribor. President of the Chamber of Detectives of the Republic of Slovenia, president of the Association for Private Security and Civil Self-Defense Obrona and co-founder of the Institute of Organizational Behavior. He was also a senior private security consultant at the Ministry of the Interior. His interests include data security, as well as personal data security. He also follows global trends in global and national security, private security, detective work, information and corporate security, intelligence, and data protection.



dr hab. Roman Dorczak, prof.UJ
Doctor of humanities in the field of management sciences, professor of the Jagiellonian University at the Institute of Public Affairs of the Jagiellonian University. Head of the Department of Social Development. His research interests concern management and educational leadership; organizational culture of educational institutions; organizational cooperation in the public sphere; individual, organizational, social, and civilizational development. He published and edited over 110 papers, including monographs, chapters in monographs, articles and post-conference publications. He participated in numerous research and development projects financed from national, EU, and other funds. He is a member of the international network for research on leadership and management in education ENIRDELM (European Network for Improving Research and Development in Educational Leadership and Management). He was a scholarship holder at Manchester-Harris College at the University of Oxford, he lectured at the University of Murcia (Spain) and the University of Jyvaskyla (Finland). Between 1991-2006 and again from 2020, he worked/cooperated with the Municipal Police of the City of Krakow, co-creating the recruitment, training and employee evaluation system.


dr Michalina Szafrańska
Assistant professor at the Chair of Sociology of Law, Jagiellonian University, PhD in law. Member of the expert team operating under the Agreement on cooperation for security in the Municipality of Krakow concluded between the Mayor of the City of Krakow and the Rector of the Jagiellonian University. Research interests: security of citizens, local crime prevention, crime mapping, fear of crime, penal populism, media image of crime and institutions responsible for its control, social research on the law, alternative dispute resolution methods, crowdsourcing in law. Author of books on penal populism and fear of crime.


Pol.Brig.Gen.Dr.László Christián
Vice-Rector for Education at Ludovika-University of Public Service László Christián, Vice-Rector for Education of Ludovika-University of Public Service since 1st January 2020, he is a police brigadier general and lawyer. He has been the Head of the Department of Private Security and Local Governmental Law Enforcement of the Faculty of Law Enforcement of Ludovika-UPS since 2013. He is a habilitated associate professor and has been teaching in higher education since 2002. He started his professional career at the Customs and Finance Guard in 2002, then continued at the National Tax and Customs Office in various management positions. Since 2016 he has been a regular member of the Police. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Magyar Rendészet (Hungarian Law Enforcement) and the author of 120 publications. He is also the leader of a National Laboratory of Security Technologies. László Christián is the holder of several awards, he has participated in 30 study trips abroad on several continents, he regularly gives lectures at national and international conferences. His main field of research is public administration, law enforcement, private security, municipal policing.



mgr Michał Chrzanowski
 A graduate of research and analytical specialization at the Jagiellonian University. Director of the research agency INQUISIO.research. Researcher with over ten years of experience in managing and implementing marketing projects for leading consumer companies in Poland. He specializes in advanced statistical data analysis and in modeling consumer behavior. He also conducts projects in the field of urban research and evaluation. As part of his research and analytical specialization at the Jagiellonian University, he conducts marketing research workshops. He is a member of ESOMAR, Polish Evaluation Society, and the Polish Society of Market and Opinion Researchers, as well as a collaborator at the Center for Evaluation and Analysis of Public Policies, Jagiellonian University.
